I love getting a good deal, who doesn’t? Problem is, I forget to use coupon codes and then they expire… I even sometimes forget to use my own coupon codes created just for Vegan Presence subscribers. I’m kicking myself right now for not stocking up on Perfekt products when I had a coupon code for 2 months (and now I’m out of the bronzer I use and I want to try their cc cream). So if I remember, I’m going to start a monthly small list of coupon codes before they expire that way we can all remember to stock up on our favorite vegan goodies or try new products without paying full price.
I’m a tea fanatic and one of my favorite teas ever is Happy Earth’s Tea in Genmaicha. It’s the season to stock up on tea.
Genmaicha is a very unique Japanese tea consisting of green tea blended with roasted brown rice (it looks like popcorn!). The blend was supposedly crafted during the tea shortage of World War II. By blending in the rice with Sencha or Bancha leaves, the tea was made to go further. The combination results in the perfect marriage of savory richness and comfort. I fill my mug ¾ full of hot tea and add cold soy milk to the top. Tea with soymilk is my favorite comfort drink. I make tea using a glass French Press made specifically for tea that doesn’t actually smash down the tea but rather the leaves are allowed to expand and float freely. It’s quite beautiful visually.
